At La Playa, we understand the challenges of making time and space for education. For over twenty years, our focus has been on breaking down the barriers that keep adults and families from learning English—that’s why we’ve cultivated an environment as welcoming and supportive as a gathering among friends.
Here, learning happens in small, intimate classes led by experienced instructors who understand that everyone’s journey is unique. We pride ourselves on being a community where students from diverse backgrounds—Mexico, Spain, Japan, China, Turkey, Hungary, Ukraine, and beyond—find common ground in their aspirations and achievements.
Our mission is straightforward: to enhance English skills in a setting that feels comfortable and empowering. At La Playa, we focus on improving reading, writing, and speaking abilities, offering our support and understanding at every step of the journey. Students of all levels are welcome

Our Classes
La Playa ESL Community offers free Adult English Classes with in-person instruction in San Juan Capistrano, Laguna Beach, and Lake Forest. We offer small classes, with materials provided, for Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced Levels.
